Development Check

Betty from the infant development program came today to do her assessment with Bria (she comes every 6 months or so), and was very pleased with what she found!

She showed her problem-solving skills when she was playing blocks with Betty. One at a time, Betty handed her one-inch square blocks of bright colors. First she held a block in one hand, then the other. When it came to the third block she quickly found a solution – by bending down to pick up the block with her mouth. Clever chick.

When Betty showed Bria a picture book to see if she scanned the pages, baby showed off a bit. There was a teddy bear in the book, and every time Bria saw the teddy bear, she gave it a kiss! We’ve never seen her do that before!

Other activities included playing with the baby in the mirror, vocalizing assorted sounds, and responding to other sounds. Bria passed with flying colors.
